Here’s a recent review at Anna Wood’s blog (annawood.wordpress.com):
As a homeschooling mother of many, I am always on the lookout for educational films that will fuel my children’s enthusiasm for learning. I found one today.
George Washington Carver: An Uncommon Way from Franklin Springs is an excellent introduction/overview of the life of a truly great man. Narrated by Dr. Voddie Baucham, this film entertains as it enlightens. In 47 minutes running time, we learn of Mr. Carver’s great faith in our Great Creator, of God’s providential care of him, of his humble beginnings and his great achievements. Through reenactments, photographs, interviews and vivid details, we are offered insights into what fueled Mr. Carver’s love of learning and his passion for discovery. His courage in the face of prejudice and setbacks is heartening and offers a wonderful example to all.
The quality of this production is outstanding as is its value. It is extremely well done, beautifully photographed, encouraging and inspiring. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Thanks, Anna!
