The West ladies’ creative and industrious ways are on display in their charming shop…

...where assorted crafts are enjoyed by young and old alike.

Of course, there’s usually music…

And hot cider…

And the requisite ride through the countryside…

Texas Bound
Wednesday, November 26, 2008
We were very pleased to learn yesterday that three films that we’ve produced have been accepted into the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival.

An American Adventure: The Living Legacy of Jimmy Gentry, A Full House of Blessing, and The Terri Schiavo story (a two part television special for the Joni Eareckson Tada television show) will each be competing in the Documentary category.
We’ve attended the festival each of its first four years, winning a Jubilee Award in 2005 for A Journey Home. We’re looking forward to being in San Antonio again this year to be a part of this very well run event. Learn more about the festival here.

Observing God’s Vast Creation
Thursday, May 15, 2008
Recently we had the privilege of observing God’s creation—light-years away from Earth. On a beautiful spring evening in middle Tennessee, friends of Franklin Springs gathered for an evening of fellowship, ice cream, and star gazing. Thanks to high-powered telescope technology, a large screen projector, and the wonderful creation message provided by David Rives Ministries, attendees were able to witness God’s planetary creation in a most wonderful way…

Children, young and old, patiently wait to see the stars (and for ice-cream)

The young ladies graciously demonstrate hospitality by serving everyone at the event. Stay tuned to our website in the coming months as we prepare to share more about a new DVD series we are producing for young ladies that will highlight the importance of hospitality.

So many choices!

Setting up the impressive telescope

“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.” —Psalms 8:3 - 5

A Premier to Remember
Thursday, February 28, 2008
The initial screenings of An American Adventure: The Living Legacy of Jimmy Gentry were a smashing success. Searchlights, red carpets, vintage cars lining the street, the local high school providing period music, and packed houses marked two nights of honoring Mr. Gentry. The film was warmly received, as audiences responded enthusiastically to the story of Mr. Gentry’s unique commitment to godly character — and his relationship with the town of Franklin, TN. Stay tuned for information about encore screenings.

Above is our ad that appeared in the most recent issue of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine.
Kind reviews of our DVDs and nice comments about our company are showing up in a variety of places, such as Amy’s Humble Musings, Biblical Womanhoodonline, Vision Forum, etc.
And as always, we’re so appreciative of the encouraging notes we receive from families who are enjoying their Franklin Springs Family Media DVDs.

We were recently exhibitors at the wonderful Generations Conference put on by the nice people at the Highlands Study Center. Above is a picture that appeared on Doug Phillips’ Vision Forum blog. Thanks for the plug, Doug!
And thanks to all who are becoming part of the Franklin Springs Family Media family. May God work through us all to build families that are honoring to Him!
